I wish Former President Obama had not been quite so friendly to Donald, the convicted felon,

at the funeral service for former President Jimmy Carter, 'cause you know he's going to use those photo ops whenever and wherever he can.

The order was to keep Trump under control and prevent him from acting out in any way.

Obama completed the mission successfully and I don't care how he did it.

To whom must he capitulate? I bet he did it willingly, "jumped on the grenade," so no one else would have to take on the burden.

Yes he definitely took one for the team.

There was really no one else who could have pulled it off.
Maybe this is why Michelle did not attend.

It couldn't look like Obama was ignoring his wife to make nice with the F-wad.

Obama sits next to Trump because he was Trump's predecessor.

Bush sits next to Obama, and Clinton sits next to Bush.

Should have been Hillary sitting in that spot (or rather sitting in the front row as incumbent about to finish the second term of her presidency),

Someone who could keep Trump entertained and distracted.

And Hillary wouldn't have the stomach for this mission.

If Hillary had been elected in 2016. She would have been the one sitting next to Pres. Obama.

The symbolism is astonishing.
Think about the dignity on display despite the horrors of that man.

trump could have been talking shit for all we know and Pres Obama might have called him a carnival barking jackass and laughed or he could have been repeating one of the jokes from the original roast that bothered trump so much.

I don't think Trump yukking it up with a black man is the sort of photo op that will go over too well with MAGA.

Also, we can't forget that President Obama was the first Black president and everything he does is filtered through that lens. If he had acted like a shit, that would have also been used against him.

He will believe and listent to whoever is in front of him. Frankly, Obama would be doing the country a service if he can somehow pry his way into Trump's circle if only on occasion.
