Trump and His Many Faustian Bargains
What does it cost to get Donald Trump's favor and an appointment to a position of great power?
All you have to give up is your soul. Your character. Your humanity. Not much to pay, really.
You simply agree to do anything Trump demands of you, regardless of it's impact on people or the continuity of our nation. Then, you get that position of power you always wanted.
For example, If you're Pam Bondi, you get to be Attorney General, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to let Trump slide. But, on the up side, you'll get to pass along the favor to your own friends and sponsors. Very rewarding.
If you're Pete Hegseth, all you have to give up is the oath you took as a military officer. Of course, you may be called on to do something like send troops in to end a protest or other things like that. Maybe you'll be asked to look the other way when Putin or another buddy invades a neighboring country. But, you get to order all those Generals around. Won't that be fun?
And so it goes. You pay only a little, because your honor, integrity, patriotism, and oath come cheap. You didn't give those things more than lip service, anyhow. You just give those things up and do whatever Trump asks and you get so much for yourself. Everything you've dreamed of.
What a deal, eh?!
