You know what we need Monday?

We need some brave network to cover the inauguration in split screen. On one half they could show the actual inauguration. On the other half they could show, January 6, 2024. They could switch the sound back and forth to each split screen. MSNBC? Meidas? Beuler?

MLK Day of Service

In honor of the Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., national parks will waive entrance fees for everyone on Monday, January 20, 2025, as the first fee free day of the year. It is also a day of service when thousands of volunteers participate in service projects across the country, including at national parks.

Find volunteer opportunities inspired by this day of service or visit a park to learn more about the history of Dr. King and the pursuit of civil rights in America.

MLK Day of Service

“The greatest birthday gift my husband could receive is if people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds celebrated the holiday by performing individual acts of kindness through service to others.” - Coretta Scott King

MLK Day of Service is a defining moment in volunteerism, as Americans across the country step up to make communities more equitable and take action to build the Beloved Community of Dr. King’s dream. While Dr. King believed this community was possible, he acknowledged and fought for systemic change. His example is our call to action.

This is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. Many national parks traditionally host a variety of service projects that people can sign up for as volunteers.

and in between whatever is said as that freak is sworn in we get close ups of people in the room attending the viewing. the billionaires, the republican congress with knowing smirks and smiles, the dems somber or visibly disturbed, a shot or two of melanoma squinting hatefully/disdainfully (if looks could kill she'd kill him and the rest of us). closing shots: eloon can't conceal his pleasure at what is taking place, cut to trump smiling a wicked smile as we hear one of the capitol cops screaming in unbearable pain/anguish. screen goes to black but we continue to hear the screams for several more seconds.

now i'm thinking of an epilogue that begins with the song... can you guess? ... YMCA and then numerous shots of border patrol, migrants, beaten, shot, ice breaking into houses in the dark of night, newspaper headlines, soldiers headed off to wars, military beating/shooting protesters, more headlines, public school children pledging to pic of trump, women bleeding out in hospital parking lots, young children at work, blablabla and whatever else as the nightmare continues. or no epilogue at all
