When you get a call asking to support an organization like the Police always ask them what percent of what you give them will actually be sent to the fund. Some will say they don't know. When they do tell you you will hear a very low number of often less than 20%. The people doing the calling are actually working for an independent company. The organizations they say they are collecting for don't care as I suspect they feel that some money is better then 0.

I don't donate to PACs. Even on issues I support. It's Citizens United and it's why the Oligarchs have taken over politics. I support candidates.
