Trump obstructs cancer research

I may not survive this Trump term.

I am a lymphoma survivor in my third remission.
Everytime it returns, it gets more agressive and resistant to prior therapies.

When it returned in 2019, I went through 4 unsuccessful treatments over 2 years.
The fifth treatment was a success.

I would not reached remission, except for these factors:
ACA provides me lifetime limit protections.
Trump and GOP repeal of GOP failed. They may try again.
The drug that was a success was approved by the FDA the year before.
Insurer approved the drug, rescinded their approval and reverse themselves.

Having RFK Jr in charge of HHS concerns me.
Also, new Trump policies obstructs cancer research.

My brother--a Trumpist and unshakable Repub--was at one time VP at Pfizer for the development of cancer drugs. He's been retired for some time, but is on the Board of another small company that is focused on developing cancer drugs.
I no longer have contact with him, but that is not just because of politics. He's a narcissist and bottom line, everything comes down to his wallet. I'll have to ask one of his sons--a Dem--what he thinks of Trump now.

I am very sorry for your struggles with cancer. It's a horrible disease.

on the faculty at a University medical school to go to work for another Big Pharma company. He originally was drawn into cancer research because we had an aunt who died from ovarian cancer. So, at one time, although he's always been a Republican, the research was anything but fake. The opportunity to make some really big money, though, was too enticing and also meant work was more 9-5 than a practice in OB-Gyn, so he could spend more time with his family of 5 kids. Still, when push comes to shove, his kids have told me that his priority is always money in his pocket.

Their future is in jeopardy now. They have no idea if they will have funding or jobs.

Intracerebral hemorrhage. Lung Cancer. Prostate Cancer. Colorectal Cancer. Pancreatic Cancer. Liver Cancer. Esophageal Cancer. Bladder Cancer. Leukemia. Lymphoma. Multiple myeloma.

Any of these would make me happy. (And I expect it would make Meloniea happy too.)

I told a MAGA family member about Trump delaying cancer research.

They did not believe that.

I told them multiple sources are saying this including Forbes.
