is apparently the "new" US Middle East policy according to Crumb The 1st. His statement that Egypt and Jordan should "take" the Palestinians from Gaza is about as ignorant of the situation as can be. But it is his brand identity. There are 68 refugee camps throughout Gaza, The West Bank, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. Lebanon, Syria and Jordan agreed to be host to the camps from the late 1940's on at the behest of the UN. This took place because it was supposed to be temporary while the homeland for the Palestinians was resolved. It became anything but temporary for all the reasons we know.
But what is little appreciated here in the West is how the growth in population of the camps and the political problems etc. affect the unrest in the countries and the influence of groups like Hezbollah. This is not a small number of people in each of these camps and the idea that you are just going to shove another couple million people onto these countries is a guarantee of even more unrest in those countries.
But that would only matter to these fascists if they cared about the unrest and wanted to genuinely not contribute to making it worse. But unrest and chaos may actually be the overall strategy. Unrest and violence can be an opportunity and that will mean good old Uncle Sam can be right there with troops, weapons, ships, aircraft etc. and hey we can have our little buddy Israel have a role also. I'm sure more US troops and bombing will have folks getting warm cozy feelings for us.
In any event as I have said many times over none of this is about caring about the lives of the average citizen. It is about power, control, resources and seeing these countries run and do things the way we want. Anything they want will, as always, be subject to what the West wants. The "quiet part" hasn't been so quiet for a very long time.
Even if they did force everyone to leave Gaza what about all of the dead who are buried in the rubble? I have complete belief that Kushner and company would simply load them up with the rubble and haul it to be dumped somewhere. What about the Palestinians who are buried in graves in Gaza over the many years? I also have little doubt that the concrete slabs will be poured right over them as if they never existed. As if they never existed is how the US has treated a lot of groups of people over the centuries. Some US leaders were better but for the most part not. "As If They Never Existed". It could be the motto on our currency.

(21,173 posts)This country elected a fool who does not recognize other humans. For him they don't exist. His solutions will be the worst for the Palestinian people. It will be done in our name.
