He clearly does not understand public health or his duty to protect it.

His horrific bone spurs prevented him from ever learning that the military often lives and operates in very close quarters where a virus could potentially spread like wildfire without vaccinations.

If troops are sick they are not combat ready.

US military always gets all needed vaccines for that reason.
Even the families going overseas.

What better way to weaken the US military than by biological warfare that he convinced us to wage on ourselves?

Vaccines never promise to defeat a virus entirely, just to mount a community response that helps prevent it from taking hold. Lower vaccination rates = more likelihood the virus wins the next time around; that is, has a significant impact to combat readiness.

What fucking traitors are the MAGAts, and their king.

(of course that meter's been pegged for awhile)

I had to get about a zillion vaccines in Basic. There was never a thought that we could say "no".

What are the further implications of this for other diseases?

in both arms at the same time.

Now days you can whine and disobey orders you don't agree with.

Trump is weakening the military.

Relative to the military budget, like the cost of a few cruise missles. They discharged around 8,000 for refusing the vaccine, since the Biden Administration allowed them to come back a year or so ago only 43 have done so. The back pay won’t be enough to entice most now that they’ve acclimated back to civilian life.

They've been able to come back for some time, they just weren't going to get back pay.

And I agree, their lives are more normalized now, they aren't going to want to go back and uproot their families.

Trumps throwing a bunch of taxpayer dollars at them for backpay- cute considering a lot of the weight culled from the services are people who wouldn’t have reenlisted anyway!

And depending on their rank, if it’s just back base pay that would be taxable, that’s not going to entice many to come back now that they’re out.
