I think you are addressing democrats, not using them as the object.

And "them" just doesn't mean Republicans, it also means the subset of MAGA,
and also Putin, China and our other enemies.

I think using Republican makes it too long and harder to read.
THEM has more of an impact.

We know who she means.

You should get more feedback.

I think the word Republican makes it look somewhat petty and partisan.
And loses the impact of the word "them."

People can attach more meaning to a general term 'Them."

And there are more than just republicans who must be confronted.
We are letting other enemies attack us ruthlessly.

Again this is just my opinion, I think other people should weigh in as well.
