Federal judge temporarily blocks Trump administration freeze on federal grants, loans, and aid

It's called an Administrative Stay.

There are some funding programs that may still remain frozen, however. It's granular, but it means that some funding and grants that do not hold the status of an "open award" do not get covered by her stay.

Apparently there will be a hearing on Monday to determine the legality of the orders issued from OMB.

I don't recall hearing anyone ask for a federal funding freeze -- now or during the campaign.
