MAGAt at the grocery store today

Walking in I was hoping there would be someone checking out egg prices and as I approached the
egg section a 50's couple were going from group to group comparing prices. When I got beside them
and had looked at a couple prices I blurted out " My gosh how the price of eggs has gone up. I
thought he promised to bring the price down?" (read on DU to do that!)

Without missing a beat the MAGAt spewed out "WELL WE HAVE TO GIVE HIM TIME!" I replied "Well
we sure in the hell didn't give Biden any time did we? At least he was smart enough not to say
stupid shit!" Turned and walked away to de-escalate the situation.

And wouldn't you know it, I happened to get behind them in the check out lane and both would not
look my direction. Right there on the candy rack someone had left one of those $7 loaves of bread
and when the clerk wasn't looking it somehow got added to the MAGAts stuff and nobody caught it.
They paid for it and left. Felt good to let my ornery side out.

He's already moved on to other business so clearly mission accomplished on egg prices.

Why? He said he would do it on the first freaking day! Did he lie? (Rhetorical, I know.)

3 months? 6 months 1 year? 4 years? First say he promised that he would fix it on day 1. So a broken promise. Then, if they say anything more than a few weeks, tell them it's unacceptable.

Good Lord gave me the gift of thinking on my feet which I'm grateful for and to be honest, the way
he blew up yelling at me I'm surprised I got my 2 cents in before getting out of his range.

I don’t buy bread anymore. My brother stopped eating it and I only eat different mostly grain free substitutes. I mostly avoid these types of interactions but you did a good job 😀
