He keeps Jackson's portrait in the Oval Office.

When the Supreme Court ruled against Jackson and the State of Georgia, and in favor of the sovereignty of the Cherokee Nation, Jackson dismissed the Court's decision and famously said, "Chief Justice John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it."

This disregard for the Court's authority eventually led to the forced relocation of thousands of Native Americans, the tragedy remembered as "The Trail of Tears."

Will Trump listen to the Courts? Maybe.
