(90,535 posts)...so this nonsense complaint about her talking about it and informing us about their actions and intentions is bullshit.
Even more absurd when you realize that the power they need to act decisively and with direct effect was forfeited by Democratic voters in the last election, dis-enabling them, legislatively, to do little more than vote against the majority's legislation, and advocate to the public to demand REPUBLICANS do something, anything to defend their OWN branch of government's preogatives.
For fuck sakes, are they not supposed to exercise the politics from their side that republicans advantaged when they were in the minority?
You know what republicans don't do? They don't sit and blame their legislators for voters' failure to elect enough members to challenge the opposition with anything more than talking and advocacy.
What's even more ridiculous is that this refrain against our own virtually powerless minority party is supposed to represent some sort of progressive advocacy, but it's just bashing the party for doing what they are able and informing us about it.
Pay attention and keep up. Do something, anything to echo their very correct advocacy and alerts.

The whole time we had power in the Biden administration we (including my own stupid ass) held to the faith that doing truly good things for the country and eloquent speeches on the floor would surely result in more Democrats, and hence more freedom and equality for all. It didnt. Meanwhile the other side got out front. We refused to define ourselves in any visible and impactful way, so they did it for us. They also did some other things.
For 48 fucking months, they set rooms full of twisted and malevolent scholars, experts and lawyers to work on how to destroy the very form and structure of every single thing in this country that does not please their vengeful and sadistic Gods from school lunches to my vagina. THEY DIDNT HIDE THEIR PLANS. They even published them, what the ACTUAL FUCK were we doing all that time? How is that leadership is acting all surprised by what is happening when THEY TOLD US WHAT THEY WERE DOING?
Im fucking pissed, and Ive seen NOTHING so far that impresses me or makes me believe that the party is making the changes needed to be successful. THAT is when I will have hope, when I see changes that start to bring us out of the shadows and lead to electoral SUCCESS.
Edited to add, the onus is not upon me, nor am I interested in being anyones echo. Im a woman. Ive been expected to live as an echo my entire life.
