Why do I post so much about about health care with ~everything~ going on.

A bit of a thread on strategy, for political professionals, but also engaged Democrats

Trumps super power is “flooding the zone with shit”. Too much stuff going on.

1) it makes his enemies twist themselves in knots
2) it makes the low engagement voters who decide elections tune out.

“Too much work to untangle, we’ll see what happens”

But we can fight this tactic by not just talking, but by organizing his chaos to make it easy to understand

First, find the most persuasive things that those low engagement swing voters who decide elections care about

Second, organize all of the chaos into those lanes *for them*, so they don’t have to untangle it themselves (which they won’t)

We sort everything that happens into three, and only three, folders

Health care.
The economy
Abuse of power

Health care: republicans can’t pay for their tax cuts without cutting care, and the voters who decide elections care about this a lot. They HATE people messing with care. Research cuts? That’s health care. Covid policy? No, that’s health care. Easy.
