WASHINGTON, Jan 29 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump will sign an executive order on Wednesday on school choice that would also end "funding for public schools that support critical race theory and other divisive measures in their curriculums," the White House said on Wednesday.

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, speaking in an interview with Fox News, gave no other details about the funding cuts, and representatives for the White House could not be immediately reached for comment.

Real question: has anyone actually seen a school teach critical race theory? Even in universities, I imagine you would have to sign up for a very particular (advanced) class to learn that, it's not part of general ed classes.

And who decides what is "divisive", you ask? This is the first step in rewriting history to claim "the world was a terrible place until [insert favorite republican hero here] came along." Mike Huckabee did exactly that in his "children's book". He tries to teach kids that Reagan was a hero and saved the world.

that it was all about states' rights and maybe mention in passing that President Lincoln helped some recent immigrants get better-paying jobs. The topic of slavery should be avoided as much as possible; if mentioned at all it should be described as sometimes providing less than optimal working conditions but that most "employers" were kind and helpful to their immigrant workforce.
