Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI wrote an e-mail to the Lithuanian Ambassador to the United States, thanking the Lithuanian people for their show of
support and solidarity with the US and our Armed Forces in the wake of the accidental death of four soldiers in a training accident.
I received a reply from the Personal Assistant to the Lithuanian Ambassador just now:
Dear *Aristus*,
Thank you for this touching message – we really appreciate it. The pain of the United States and the fallen soldiers’ families is really our pain, and we stand together in this time of sorrow.
We appreciate your support!

(36,488 posts)What a beautiful and thoughtful thing to do, and what a wonderful reply!
If only our loathsome blob of a leader had any compassion, instead of running away to play golf. That would never happen under Joe Biden.
Thanks, Aristus.

(456 posts)Thank you for writing to the Lithuanian Ambassador. What a kind and thoughtful thing to do. How embarrassing it is to be an American at this point in time. We ALL need to reach out whenever we can, to our fellow human beings. You did a good thing!

(20,236 posts)I'm so fucking pissed that the orange POS dissed our fallen brothers I could scream. What President Nausėda and the Lithuanian people did to honor our brothers will not be forgotten.
