Has anyone else noticed how much more sympathy/empathy TSF has been displaying, lately?

I have -- he's frequently expressed (including this a.m. on the WH lawn) concern about all the young Ukrainian, Russian, Israeli and Palestinian people who are being killed in those wars. He's never before cared much about the outcomes of any violence whatsoever.

Then yesterday, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store was bathed in djt's glowingly effusive kindness and concern over these "horrible wars" that take the lives of all those poor people. Think might explain it:

From Axios:

Zoom in: Talk of the (Nobel Peace) prize is increasingly shaping how administration officials talk about the president at a time when he's seeking to end the fighting in Ukraine and Gaza.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told Fox News in February that Trump deserves a Nobel for his work in trying to end the Russia-Ukraine war. "If it were fairly awarded, I think in a year, he should get it from what I've seen," Bessent said.

snip

Trump longs for the validation of a Nobel prize, but even before Friday's televised melee (with Zelenski) he doubted that the committee that awards it — which is appointed by Norway's parliament — would ever give him one.

snip

Trump said in 2019 that he should get the prize "for a lot of things, if they gave it out fairly — which they don't. They gave one to Obama immediately upon his ascent to the presidency, and he had no idea why he got it. ... That was the only thing I agreed with him on."

and manipulates people and events. He beats everything I ever read about P.T. Barnum.

On a more serious note, we might recall many people during the last election pointing out that he seemed more "put together," or "calmer," or "better disciplined." Others, even now, repeatedly claim that he "tells you what he's going to do."

But what he says and the cruelty of how his "truth" materializes are two different things. Think tariffs, immigration, and the department of gov't. efficiency. Did any of those sound as bad as they turned out to be?

Rather than a Peace Prize he deserves an Oscar.

I’d rather watch/hear a cauldron of diarrhea bubbling over a low flame. Same goes for the so-called “Great Communicator.”

Both of them are only “charismatic” to their kkkultists. Functional human beings can see right through it.

Trump is a vicious dangerous psychopath and narcissist.
Many mental health professionals have known it for quite some time.
And been warning the public about him.

Yes the Time article highlights Donald Trump's mental illness, demential and drug abuse.

Last time Trump was in the WH, the military was said to be quite careful about
giving Trump any power concerning the nuclear code, etc. The rumor is that
General Miley consulted with Pelosi and McConnell on national security matters.
Trump was not to be trusted and didn't comprehend anything. This is one reason
Trump hates Miley and the other generals so much.

...but he always goes back into nasty mode. This is a person who cannot post a holiday greeting without calling people names or telling lies.

People can claim that Trump can be charming, skillful, yada, yada, yada, but he actually keeps the bitterness and boorishness and lawlessness top of mind through his words and behavior. He can't even turn the bitterness off for an Inauguration.

On edit: This is someone who traumatized children in his first term. This is someone who used cutting off medical care to get back at members of his own family. So I naturally snort if someone in the media refers to a "consoler in chief." Nice try, someone in the media.

We all know this. He doesn't give a crap about the "suckers and losers." So, I agree, he's trying to come off like some humanitarian, for nefarious purposes. And, those that award the Nobel Peace Prize also know this. He doesn't deserve the prize, especially since he is transporting people to concentration camps just because he doesn't like their nationality or the color of their skin. He's a lying, vicious POS felon that should have been sent to jail.

Unaware of all the horrible things associated with tRump? Even if he could broker a peace deal between Ukraine and Russia, all of his past misdeeds would instantly disqualify him. No matter what he does for the rest of his miserable life, he’ll be tainted by the behavior he exhibited throughout the entirety of his life.

As for his so-called ability to turn on the charm at will, if I am not mistaken, that is part of his pathology as a malignant narcissist. Rather than an asset, it is a symptom of his mental health issues. It is part of his method of love bombing his victims, right before he brings out his evil side. He is the 21st version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
