Haven't tuned into "news" since the day after the election, except the occasions when I read headlines here on DU, and that's becoming more and more rare.

When I spotted this original op, and reactions my heart sank a little more realizing our peeps still aren't quite getting it. Just read and learned a lot of recent bat-shit edicts from the orange psycho-freak occupying the oval office. Thanks to one poster, I learned an extremely bizarre laundry list of threats from firing supreme court justices to calling on the military to arrest u.s. citizens among other very extremely psychotic edicts. Fiasco is not a word that even comes close to describing what we are now and about to experience. Talk about extreme destabilization of socio-economic institutions, struture and governance which ironically have always supported and protected the wealthy class, not to overlook democracy itself.
Astonishing, befuddling, frightening. I keep thinking to continue to ignore and go each day do the things that keep me sane, but also be prepared to leave this country in a mad hurry. Which of course is quite delusional since I'm poor and depend on my Social Security for survival.

How in the hell do I plan to survive this nightmare, and assist my granddaughters who are in high school through it all? Wonder if there's a 'How to for dummies' on navigating through this shit?
