Who does the family sue?

The family has no idea which agency broke into their home, destroyed it and took
their possessions. Most likely ICE.

https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-fbi-raid-wrong-house-df4fd6235660a67e4b34a1f790c674ca

The Supreme Court seemed likely Tuesday to rule narrowly in favor of a family trying to hold federal law enforcement accountable in court after an FBI raid wrongly targeted their Atlanta home.

The justices seemed open to giving them another chance to sue over the raid, but wary of handing down a more sweeping ruling on federal liability in law enforcement cases.

that people of color, citizens, have been having experiences like this forever in this country, and under administrations ranging from very Republican to very Democratic.

And it's always horrifying. It's always been horrifying to anyone with any empathy. Oklahoma in particular has quite the history.

This is indeed terrible, But it isn't on the Mango Monster, or at least no to the point people seem to think it is.

Wondering if it would have been any different if the husband was there.

I've been wondering about how this would go down in, "hold your ground," states..... They break into your house, waving guns around, no badges, no I.D., no paperwork--and rob you. Unreasonable search and seizure, at the least.

all over this country must feel after seeing this on Rachel tonight! Locked doors and windows mean nothing to thugs like this. Just think, a woman and her three daughters! Just when I think I couldn't be more enraged by this administration of thugs, here it comes again, only this is physical for cripes sakes. A crack Police department should be able to glean evidence out of the scene, her description of the people, the vehicles they drove, etc. Did she have a land line phone? What about the neighbors, did they not see/hear anything? With 4 females, you know there had to be screaming! Even if this group were not governmental in any way, Trump is totally responsible for it.

I taught at that campus, knew him well. Our kids were friends in school.

When this story came out, I was shocked beyond words! Tom immediately contacted Senator Tammy Baldwin, (D-WI), and she went after Homeland Security. They immediately backed off and said it was a mistake, and want to say "no harm, no foul." But as Tom said to the media, that's what they said about Kilmar Garcia. He doesn't trust it at all.

This is so shocking to know someone who was targeted!

legally, wouldn't the law require them to wear/show ID? And wouldn't they proudly show ID, unless they're ashamed of what they're doing?

Made me wonder if there are some "freelance" militia-type groups invading homes, stealing money, phones, and laptops from homeowners. Women with children and without a male in the home would seem most vulnerable. It could also be that the previous occupants of that home were the intended prey.

Hope there are follow-ups to this story.

Wed Apr 30, 2025, 04:33 PM

If I were a criminal, I might plan breaking into a home with some other thugs, take their money, jewelry, valuables. These thugs often have no uniforms, search warrants, IDs. Right now, it seems they’re breaking into “brown people’s” homes so it seems to “cover them.” Then, they can go down the line: Asians, blacks, pesky intellectuals.
