5. A very good interview. The host let Timothy Snyder give his explanations in full.

So many points covered - I can't keep up with them all, but:

Discussion about the "tech bros" obeying in advance to trmp's wishes. Snyder pushes back and says that many of these are actually part of the system to impose tyranny such as Musk. Bezos was mentioned as one who "obeyed in advance."

Terrorist attack - worried about the fact that they've fired everyone competent at the top level(s). They've hollowed out the state to the effect that we are much more at risk from threats coming from outside, and inside.

A lot of these "actions" are probes to try to understand how Americans will react.

Repuglicans have a baked-in idea that the only way to win is to cheat. They argue that the "dems" do it so so should they. It's only a small step to actually try to change the machinery used to count votes, especially at the state level.

Repuglican voter surpression includes making it much harder for women to vote if they have changed their names (marriage.)

They are governing as if they don't need to govern.

Protests are not getting the media coverage they should.

Social media - some level of control and fees.

Wealth inequality.

The anti-semitism of the current regime.

Canada: Support for Ukraine, foreign aid in general

The move to Toronto, thoughts before and after the election.

Political violence in the US.

In response to a reading that there would be a major attack, shutting down the grid (power and communications) basically on Putin's orders to seize the country and place it under his control.

The OP noted that the massive outages in Europe were just a rehearsal. Since then, Bali had an underwater cable failure, somehow causing its power grid to go down for days.

This is the "Trumpocalypse" they have been actively setting up by disabling cyber and military defense.

Take away the element of surprise and expose their treason.

I do suspect that defenders of the Constitution ( who are amazingly silent right now, as in the takedown of Bin Laden) are preparing to restore democracy after the massive coup fails.
