So who is the white male candidate that the donors are rallying behind?

Rep. Crockett probably isn't the only person who knows who this candidate is.

Chris Murphy is a good one too.

We do have a few white male candidates who are solid on all the issues.

If they pick one of those white men I'm good.

Yes, I know that the Republicans twice elected a serial adulterer with major fraud allegations and 34 felonies the second time. Compared to Trump, any Democrat is a saint, but ANYTHING will be used against them ... even if they have to make it up.

Unlike the Midwest governors, he is easier to frame as not "like us".

But it seems pretty clear now that the 2028 nominee will be a straight white male not named Shapiro or Newsom.

Which is why I named Murphy and Beshear as the most likely to attract big donor money.

That is an excellent example of dei.
I can't say that I haven't thought it, sadly.
But, I'm really not sure that is the answer. We may need to let the youth take this one, and choose the difference maker they want, then everyone needs to rally behind their candidate to vote for the lesser of 2 evils, which will be anyone but a Republican. I just hope America doesn't collapse before we get another chance to vote.

All who claim it has to be a white male candidate are a perfect example of why DEI exists.

I do believe the consensus among the donors is that is has to be a white male. I don't agree, but it's clearly I'm quite aware of the donors view. It's been right out in the open for some time.

After all, Biden got 3-4% more of the female vote in 2020 than Harris did in '24. He also received 2% more of the Black vote as well. We really, really need a candidate who can win.
If it doesn't matter, then just nominate a mixed race trans woman who is a flaming atheist who at heart is a socialist. For those in touch with reality, that's a guaranteed loss, but we have many who are not in touch with reality.
