People feel vulnerable about their finances, wonder if they'll be able to continue eating well, if their health care will be impacted, and the price of insurance - health, auto, car - is rising.

Meanwhile at the grocery store today, I saw many rollbacks and price drops. This is done only when product is not moving, when suppliers and manufacturers offer rebates or price cuts or incentives. For example Wallies had Turkey Hill ice cream for what amounted to 10% off. Manufacturers get into contracts, they have to offload inventory before the collapse, they are competing with other brands.

I suspect many discussions are going on about cutting back production because they know what's coming from the Trump tariffs, the plunge in consumption, the cutback in hours. I don't think there will be actual scarcity except on popular items but I do expect everything to be irregular.
