Trump and the Republicans are betting everything on the stupidity of the American people.

Most specifically, Republican voters.

They are betting that most of them have no idea what is in our Constitution? They do not know what is meant by an "emolument". Whatever it is cannot be as important as choosing something over Trump.

They are betting that most of them could not care less whether it is illegal or unconstitutional?

They do not believe it is important to their voters if a Prince or King gives their President a $400 million dollar luxury "palace in the sky".

They are betting everything that their supporters simply do not care or do not know enough to even have an opinion about it?

They are betting that Republican voters hate Democrats enough that they do not care how much Trump grifts or steals or what laws he might break?

They might be right?

If they can have cheap goods, that is all that matters.

Do Americans deserve to live in a democracy?

and those that gave trump/GOPers the nod in November, including popular vote — either by voting for trump or just not voting because they were turned off — will agree on this matter.

Like 2024, we need a message, alternate proposals on things people really care about, not just criticism. Don’t think that’s going to work this time, but my guess is that’s how we’ll campaign anyway.

Polls are showing that independents by a strong margin are souring on Trump. The right-wing media ignores this because that is what is good for their ratings. That is how you get a Republican base that is disconnected and delusional.

though there are plenty of examples of animals acting more "humanely" than so called humans. So to me, that begs the question, what is humanity? Whatever it is, we have some serious educating to do to re-create a more humane and just society and some standards need to be set that apply across the country to ensure people are accurately educated in how our government runs, basic science, math, truthful history and language, knowing right from wrong (without reference to any religion), critical thinking skills and the ability to research to find out if what you are looking at, hearing or reading is a lie, and perhaps in this era how to grow your own food (in harmony with the earth), how to cook and store foods, how to repair things and build things, etc.

Also, perhaps like other countries a fine for not voting and automatic registration at age 18 might encourage more people to take an active interest in keeping their country free from autocracy, etc.? Still think you should have to pass a test that you actually know what the Constitution and Declaration of Independence say and mean and how democratic government works and what "freedom" actually means. If only freedom meant freeing us from dumb people instead of just freeing the dumb people to be dumber. A lot of people these days struggle with understanding a basic analogy or comparison and even basic examples-- it takes effort to find examples that make that light bulb of understanding turn on in their heads, it's baffling (e.g. 19 people own half the wealth in our country or something like that, so how much is left to divide amongst the rest of us?). How many years should it actually take for trickle down economics to kick in and for the philanthropy of the uber rich to be shared with their fellow Americans before it can be declared a failed hypothesis? Am sure some failed the analogy section of the SAT and ACT (speaking from my own life experience communicating with others who can't seem to understand the idea that A is like or similar to B, but not the same as B. They can't seem to understand the idea that something is similar, if it is not the same). Interesting how those tests of thinking ability and memory and learning have lost value in this age even as a qualifier for entrance in to so called institutions of higher learning. Perhaps they are or were not the perfect measures of intelligence or value but some standard should be set to achieve a baseline minimum level of intelligence and humanity in each individual. I don't know about you but I value humanity a bit more than so called intelligence or even expertise, when it is wielded in an inhumane way. If only we could learn from the lessons of our past.

This country is spoiled, immature, ignorant and stupid.

There’s maybe a quarter of the population who have any idea about any of this and MAGAts don’t give a fuck what he does.

“If it pisses off liberals, I’m all for it. Whatever it is.”

I see that quote over and over again every day.
