his days are numbered. He's trying to shift the costs of getting this plane in the shape he wants it (huge costs) onto the taxpayer. Then when he's out of office, it's all his.

Remember the tattered dumpy plane he had to fly during the Biden years? I think the plane was even grounded for a while because it needed so much work.

Apparently the whole interior is covered with real gold instead of just gold paint, so I imagine the plane is sluggish and uses a lot more fuel than a standard issue 747, or even one jam packed with shielded electronic gear..

Face it, King MushroomDick has managed to piss off most of the planet, Qatar included. It's only fitting they palm off this flying monstrosity on him while creating a firestorm of criicism here at home. It seems like a win-win.

I can't prove it, but ... what Axelrod posted is almost verbatim my reaction when I first heard Trump said that.
