"Sorry, but there's no credit to be given to Trump for mopping up his own shitpile"

https://andyostroy.substack.com/p/trump-gets-zero-props-for-stock-market

So Donald Trump and Republicans expect props for a skyrocketing day on Wall Street yesterday. All because the administration announced progress over the weekend on the China tariff and trade war front.

Let’s be crystal clear: there’s nothing here to celebrate….yet. Not only are the tariffs with China still very high, as are those with the UK and other countries, but the likelihood for an actual real, meaningful, long-term deal to be ironed out during this 90-day pause with China remains uncertain.

But the more important point is this: Donald Trump is no ‘economic genius’. He is no ‘master deal-maker’. The stock market was not up significantly yesterday because we have a strong economy and a focused leader at the helm who’s ‘policies’ are working. It rose because the stock market crashed approximately 20% since Trump first announced his utterly moronic, unnecessary, and unprovoked tariffs in trade wars and are now clawing their way back towards pre-crash levels.

It’s classic Trump: he’s the arsonist who damn-near burned the entire house to the ground, and now expects credit for being the hero who’s putting out his own fire with these pauses and deal frameworks. Sorry, but there’s no credit to be given to Trump just for mopping up his own shitpile.

But this is 9/11 on a more macro scale. Bush Jr.’s administration was asleep at the wheel when the attacks occurred and then proclaimed that they were the only ones who could fix it. Two decades later, two wars later, we know that they were the bumbling incompetents they always were.

With Motherfucker, and this is my reasoning behind my original thesis statement, he willfully caused the destruction and then claims victory for back peddling into his usual cowardice as the shitstain always does.

And his cowed Congress continues to lie down like silent, little church mice.

All of us will soon experience shortages simply because the ships full of crap are not docked in US ports.

Big box stores like Academy, Lowe’s, Home Depot and even Hobby Lobby have canceled orders. How can items like trees, ornaments, clothing, DOLLS, Legos arrive on time?

Let’s talk about school supplies. Where I live school starts August 14th this year. 😳

We were looking at a small gardening cabinet for our back porch. The cabinet was like $68 but the shipping was $149? Yeah that’s a hell to the nope.

This pile of dog poop isn’t over by a long shot - it’s just beginning, in my opinion.

As Chinese suppliers scramble to buy shipping containers and birth on cargo ships. Tariffs are lower, but surges in mad dash buying will add to expenses all the same.
