Someone in his administration must have realized that Trump could exact revenge for Kimmel’s years of ridicule by cutting funds for pediatric heart defects research since Jimmy’s child was born with a heart defect. It is known that Kimmel’s son had a defect and required surgery; Kimmel has spoken publicly about this.
