I had a reflective moment upon awakening this morning...

My father of blessed memory passed away a couple days after the election of 1996, and from what I was told by the hospital staff, he awakened from his stupor and asked the nurse who won the election and when she replied “the President”, he said “good” and fell back asleep, never to awaken again. As far as I know, those were his last words.

He told me something during President Clinton‘s first term that made a lot of sense. He said that these political pseudo-philosophers on TV think they are literally brighter and more astute than any of the politicians and feel that they operate on a level above them intellectually. What maddened them exceedingly about Clinton was that he was clearly Brighter than any of them and also attractive to women which made them doubly insane.

My dad used to use George Will as an example of the effete snob who, when he speaks, is acting as though he’s measuring his words so that the rest of us can Comprehend his erudition and extremely complex frame of reference. He said it’s all self-righteous bullshit and noblesse oblige.

All I can say is that if my parents were alive now to witness this disaster, this Death of America-as you-knew-it, they couldn’t stop vomiting.

He was a Professor Emeritus and has a large multimillion dollar Endowment Chair in his name. Plus a great sense of humor and born in Hope Arkansas. His name was Clinton Multigrain.
Use to say only two people ever made it out of Hope and both were named Clinton.
Speaking of Clinton, I use to have a small business in Saline Mi, just down the road from Clinton Mi. One time a guy stopped in and asked if was true they were changing the rename the of the town to Hillary. Said I hadn't heard that. He said everyone knows you have to go through Hillary to get to 'Clinton.

They didn’t deserve the pain of knowing. What we are witnessing today is beyond words. As the behavior of the man in our White House gets more and more deranged I feel like I’m not far off in joining your parents in the vomit of the century! If it weren’t for my grand baby I would seriously drop out. I will hang in, close the door, sing the songs, hug the hugs and read the books to fill him full of love because this little guy has a tough road ahead of him.

He's still out there pontificating too. Sucker Carlson tried to emulate him when he was youngster but failed miserably and even Will himself, was attempting to be the ultimate elitist - William F. Buckley - but was too droll.

Oddly enough, he supported Biden in 2020 and Harris in 2024 because obviously his party has become a loon cult.
