Also, if they are showing up for appointments to get work visas or for asylum, then they are not "undocumented". They are doing things the right way and now they're getting arrested, detained, and deported.

The ICE campaign has always been about cruelty and spreading fear. As was true for the whole narrative about the dangers of illegal immigrants.

A true fascist feeds on the sick joy of putting their boot on a neck, or clubbing a head, or kicking a defenseless human being when he/she is on the ground. And we are not far off from the ultimate joy of lining up the "communists" and shooting them in the back of the head execution style.

It has always been this way. It just too someone like Trump to tap into the dark and depraved Fascist heart of rural America.
