I don't think we should negotiate with Republicans until they can say "the Democratic Party"

This is going on for too long and it’s getting stupid. From Miriam Webster:
“Using "Democrat" as an adjective (e.g., "Democrat votes&quot is considered grammatically incorrect by many sources and is often used as a deliberate political slur.”
Why would we even discuss anything when they won’t even talk to us without an insult, getting somebody’s name right is minimum respect.

Yes, I can use bad grammar too, just to rub their noses in it.

Everywhere Democrat is used, even correctly — change it to Democratic.

I learned when I worked for a newspaper, that you better get their name and spell it right. it’s a modicum of respect. And it doesn’t cost anything. The maga trick of deliberately mispronouncing someone’s name, is usually racist or bigoted and very irritating. My only conclusion is that they want to be irritating people

It doesn't anymore. They know they're being jerks. We know they're being jerks. We just need to keep our heads, win elections, and enact our policies.

They're trying to bait us.

Our best bet is not to let them and to just proudly say the words "Democratic Party" constantly. I actually don't hear it enough from our side. It's a major oversight. The popularity of our policies is growing, and we need to carry our name with it.

Look at the way they are treating the democratically, elected mayor of New York. And the way they treated our congresswoman, Sarah McBride, elected by the whole state of Delaware. Nancy Mace and her cohorts treated our congresswoman like shit. Just because she is a transgender person. They don’t bother to get to know her. Which to me means they treat the whole state that way.

Try as they might, they have not been able to blame us for their shutdown. They have not been able to justify staving children and taking away needed health care.

And the Epstein thing is still out there. Some reports are saying that up to 100 House Republicans are now ready to sign on to the discharge petition to get the Epstein files released to the public.

And the House Republicans are still AWOL.

it is time to put some new demands on the table. For one, we should demand that every last Inspector General be reinstated with guaranteed independence from Trump. We should demand that the House pas a resolution saying that they have not delegated their responsibility for all taxation including tariffs, and that there is no exigent emergence that would enable a President to implement any tariffs.

And just to F with them, also refuse to negotiate until they refer to us by the correct name. "Say My Name!"
