To them, we are just a place that has a stable currency and a big army. That's really all they need. Let's look at them individually:

Donald Trump. He is finded and controlled by Russians. He has properties allover the world. Sure, he wants to protect the properties he has here, but he has absolutely no stake in or concern for the average American. After all, the average American will never be on any of his properties.

Larry Ellison. MUch of his wealth is in Oracle, so he needs to protect that. But Oracle does business worldwide. He needs the US military to protect his interests, and he gets huge income from the US government, but that's about it. And his biggest delight is sailing his ginormoous ships far from here.

Jeffrey Bezos. Same story. Unlike the others, he does make a lot of money directly from the average American, but his real home is on his yacht, the world's largest sailing yacht. Doesn't give a shit about Americans or anybody else for that matter.

Peter Theil. Makes his money by stock market manipulation, so he needs that much of America, but no more.

Elon Musk. A child of apartheid S. Africa and a full-throated Nazi. Makes his money by running stock cons. If we ever start enforcing our laws governing markets and shareholders, Musk would be on his way to Mars.

One thing they all have in common is that, unlike the legendary ultra-rich like Carnegie, McKenzie Scott (Bezos' ex), Bill and Melinda gates, Warren Buffet, George Soros, Ted Turner and many others, if anybody from that above list does anything remotely charitable, it is only because it gives them a tax benefit. These people are among the most selfish who ever lived.
