How did they get this through without Schumer? I thought he was supposed to be in charge of the Democratic Senate caucus.

My point was, the OP was being a bit unrealistic to think that Schumer could have controlled the 10 who sold us out.

Expecting Schumer to herd cats like that is overly optimistic. What leverage could he hold over Senators that are retiring, or lost causes like Fetterman?
