The most volatile group of voters is turning on Trump

Over the last year, the youngest generation of American voters have scrambled a lot of our understanding of politics.

The Gen Z cohort swung hard toward Republicans last year, moving anywhere from 6 to 21 points (depending on the data source) toward President Donald Trump compared to 2020. But they now appear to be just as aggressively swinging away. In recent polls, they prefer Democratic congressional control by 17 points in 2026 and, now, strongly disapprove of Trump — a flip from earlier this year.

I suspect that a lot of voters learned that they need to check up on BS artists before they vote for them. The burned hand teaches best.

Trump got elected because not enough people were paying attention. What we have now is exactly what we expected to happen (I didn't expected it this fast though). Trump has been proven over the years to be a despicable, lying, crooked con-artist. This is not anything "Democratic operatives" came up with, it's just the damn facts.

As Trump ran in 2024 he became more unhinged, more weird, more insane, lied more, berated more, showing fascist and thug tendencies at every turn.

What ya think he was gonna do kids?

In my mind, Trump ran as a celebrity and in the world of the showbiz there is no publicity worse than no publicity. Hell, the more outrageous you are the more people watch you. Maybe they'll even vote for you.

tv stars without a clue what they are doing.

My MAGA sister, and millions more, voted for him because of The Apprentice tv show. They thought that's who he was.
