the default, cringe pose of "I must support Tough Military Action because I am Tough" is both morally wrong and bad politics

Looking back, it's odd to see so many posters irate with me for mentioning the lack of nooze kkkoverage.

(23,011 posts)From Energy Infrastructure:
The oil and natural gas industry directly employs almost 2.6 million Americans and supports 9.8 million jobs in America, representing 5.6% of total U.S. employment. For every 1 person directly employed by the U.S. oil and gas industry, an additional 2.8 jobs are supported throughout the economy.

Rounding off, that's about 6 percent. What a coincidence!

(75,861 posts)....that everyone who works in the oil, gas, refining industries support the US making decisions for Venezuela?
All of them?
That seems quite ridiculous.
Sometimes a coincidence is just two sets of data coinciding with no causal relationship.

(23,011 posts)I know people who work for Big Oil who are good people. However, I found it interesting that the percentage supporting Trump's actions in Venezuela is a close match for the percentage of Americans who work in the energy sector.

(75,861 posts)...pointing out a coincidence you knew was representative of nothing?
Odd.

(20,001 posts)or Trump will fly them all to the United States just so he can deport them back to Venezuela.
