My optic nerve was severed (hanging by a thread) from severe head blow in the car accident that took the lives of my best friend, his aunt and his uncle who were brother/sister. We were on our way to a Huron (SD) football game.

That and the eye strain and pain in the left eye. I get sharp pains in my left eye for no reason. Eye doctors tell me, "that is your eye trying to heal itself".

And the loss of 3 dimensionial sight. Things tend to look FLAT, but you get used to it. Depth perception will be a problem, too.
