Do your job!
It is not legal for hooded thugs to roam our streets with automatic weapons and assaulting our citizens. On top of that, anonymously, with hoods and no identification. Killing people in cold blood.
Now they are raiding the homes of reporters. What next? What more do you need to see? Or have you seen nothing. You sniveling bunch of chicken shits.
Defend our Constitution. Uphold the oath that you took. Or get the hell out!

(2,210 posts)Whatever? I posted a clip of Jeffries non answer to a direct question from a reporter to support my contention. I don't know if he just totally missed the point or his intention was to disrupt. I never engage in these situations.

(4,161 posts)I can't stand when "congress" gets blamed for specifically republican failures. The blame goes to republicans and voters who elect them.

(11,838 posts)AOC and Crocket are doing this. If leadership decided to lead, there would be a lot more narrative framing. There isnt. Oh but the media . Bullshit. Make noise. Tour the country. Campaign mode permanently on.

(7,153 posts)with effective actions. Performance act just for the sake of performance act is just a feel good exercise that actually doesn't help anyone.

(6,792 posts)THAT doesn't help anything except maintain the status quo, which is, at this point, unacceptable and inexcusable.

(11,205 posts)value is that they firmly believe in shirking their duties and avoiding responsibility for anything. They could have stopped Cheeto any day. Executive orders are daily occurrence but that was never meant to be the norm. The GOP is in charge of the legislative branch but passing laws requires votes and sticking ones head out. They will never do that because it will involve the GOP being responsible. They LIKE what Trump is doing and they get the policy without any cost to them. He is the perfect GOP President.
Dont look for a profile in courage because, in the words of Harrison Ford to Mark Hamill Hey kid, it ain't that kind of movie.

They aren't "not doing their job". This is EXACTLY what the GQP intended. They don't now, and never have given a crap about an oath. The Democrats can scream until their heads explode, but as long as the GQP owns Congress, the WH and the SCOTUS, they are not going to change path.
WE are the ones WE are looking for. General strike now.

However, the oath does apply to all of them. They all are responsible for defending our Constitution.
But, I think we can all agree, it is not the Democrats that are threatening our rights and freedoms, and our lives, at this time in our history.

(64 posts)If you look at the decisions being made by our current administration and compare to the surviving diaries of those in charge in Berlin in late April of 1945 there are some surprising similarities. History may not repeat itself but it does ryme, they say. Of course taking into account the current TACO factor we may be in for an extended final chapter. I hope the article I people are paying attention.

A dead woman was called a fucking bitch after she was shot in the face three times by a government employee. They are entering homes without warrants and tasing people.
Police are turning their backs on people begging for help.
Instead of striking while the iron is hot, our leaders again are pouring cold water on our outrage.
Jeffries and Schumer will not step aside but they need to stand back and let the rank file dems take their place on the talk shows.
