And all the "American" Billionaires will find that maybe, they can't just go to New Zealand or Malta and hide out in comfort to come back after the dust is settled
It's easier for the rest of the world to cut us off than play US Nationalist games. Yeah, it might hurt them at first, but they can do it.

As a country, we're pretty much toast while we are struggling with the question on what is a normal US Citizen and whether or not this country can survive with classes of people based on birth rather than actual merit. We aren't going to get any help from outside when we need it.

As a country, we are going to have to totally re-jigger our Constitution, and that means all those snowflake mediocre White Guys and over-emotional Talking Heads might find they're going to have to stop pretending Amurrikkka is supposed to be Rich and White if it's going to survive.

It's not going to be fun. But this Country let the "cute" 10 year old smart assed Arsonist take over the house, so now it's got to pay - and unfortunately take a lot of good people and other things with it.
Sorry kids, wish I could have done more.

The reality is that NATO needs the U.S. more than they need Denmark.

While this is a show of posturing, when push comes to shove it is Denmark that will get shoved.

Greenland will end up as some kind of territory controlled by the U.S. in the end.

And the reason for that is NOT Turnip--it is all the work of all the administrations that worked so hard to build the reputation and power of the U.S. Regardless of--and really despite--the Idiot Orange, we ARE the premier power in the world. And that does not change just because we have Captain Shithead at the helm.

He benefits from all of the hard work and good will and economic and military power that American democracy has built. In the end that will count for more than anything.

Greenland will be a win for the Vulgarian-in-Chief--but not because of him... He will just be taking advantage of what others have done and built.

That describes his life.

What a dumb timeline we are on....

14. It's true. Trump is merely spending the nation's "power capital" that's been built up since WW II.

But even if Trump somehow takes control of Greenland, what prevents the next president from releasing it back to Denmark?

Upper brass have real legal qualms about invading Greenland. This isn’t a “legal” snatch and grab like Maduro. There is some pushback against Kegsbreath and Miller.

NATO is on its last legs. Recent Chump admin national strategy plan has it leaving the organization in 2027.

EU is going its own way and they’ll be the better for it. They’re already beginning to box out future US military purchases for Ukraine and they’ve begun pulling back their intel sharing from the US.

The EU already has a larger arctic presence than the US. Putting more troops there now is smart and draws a line in the sand.

Troops in that area of the world train in that harsh environment. Our troops have only recently begun training with the Finns and Swedes in that winter cold.

And as Nance pointed out in his heated post, there’s still a lot the EU could do.

Either way, I don’t think this is going to be an easy in and out, militarily or otherwise. We’ll see who has the stomach for this conflict once troops start dying.

But this “it’s all over but the shoutin” is off the mark.

The Danes have already said they will fire on anybody that enters their territory, and they’re motivated. Once the shooting starts, no telling how it’ll go.

Russkies thought they had a cakewalk with Ukraine, didn’t they?

Besides, we’re the bad guys in this, I want to see us get our noses good and bloodied. Wipe the smug expression off of American arrogance.

Last years of my life living in a fascist country.

What a timeline indeed.

MAGA likes drugs from Novo Nordisk. How about Legos?

MAGA are probably too dumb to connect those consequences. They still think somebody else pays tariffs.

Bonus points if you can tell us which hostile foreign power more or less dictates Trump's foreign policy.
