Awesome! (X & text) We can have SNACKS now!!...$15.64 a day

"We had run almost 1,000 simulations, and between $3 and $4 is a fair number if you can have access to that food. I just saw new numbers that were run: a full day, meaning 3 full square meals and a snack, is about $15.64."

Daily food stamp allowance, for those eligible, is usually around $6 per day. Midnight Writer 7 hrs ago #1

Like from Costco. On sale. And your snack is like popcorn that bought in a box of 30 bags, and you eat like 1/3 of the bag for your snack.

Oh, and you'll need to mostly eat the same thing every day.

And mostly drink water.

And not have much in the way of desserts.

Or you stock up on a ton of cheap, filling items when they're on a good sale. Things like Lean Cuisine & cans of soup and big frozen lasagna's, that kind of thing.

If someone said less than 10 bucks I'd say that'd be a real challenge, but $5/meal is not THAT challenging unless you're feeding like teen boys and/or bodybuilders
