Trump blows up over SCOTUS decision:

CNN's Kristen Holmes reports that Trump blew up during a meeting after learning of the SCOTUS ruling on tariffs.

"He started ranting about the decision, not only calling it a disgrace, but started attacking the courts and at one point saying these effing courts, but using the actual language there"

It is political. The tariffs have hit the Midwest farmers very hard. If Republicans lose the Midwest, it could be a blue tsunami. The Court is saving Trump from himself.

Rescinding the tariffs won't address the structural trade decisions that Canada and other countries have made to counteract these tariffs...namely restructuring and prioritizing trade deals with other other middle power countries over the next decade or so..

CNBC: Trump wrote in a social media post on Jan. 12 that

"it would take many years to figure out what number we are talking about and even, who, when, and where, to pay." He added: "It would be a complete mess, and almost impossible for our Country to pay."

Just like TSF 1.0, tariffs were ruinous but he got rid of them after agreements with Canada etc. Then during TSF 2.0, his hubris didn’t allow him to concede that, yes indeed, tariffs don’t work. So the Supremes helped him out by getting rid of the politically damaging tariffs.
