(It's a USA Today article via Yahoo).
FIRST OF ALL, Sheehy IS NOT AN OFFICER OF THE LAW and has NO LEGAL AUTHORITY to "remove" protesters.
FROM THE ARTICLE:
In video of the incident, several officers are seen pulling McGinnis, in his Marines uniform, from the room when Sen. Tim Sheehy, R-Montana, attempts to intervene in the scuffle.
"He was fighting back. I decided to help out and deescalate the situation," Sheehy said in a post on X. "This gentleman came to the Capitol looking for a confrontation, and he got one."
Did you catch that? He "decided" to "help out," and it WAS NOT HIS FUCKING DECISION TO MAKE.
"He came looking for a confrontation, and he got one."
REPUBLICAN TOXIC MASCULINITY, CHEST-THUMPING, COCK-WAVING. I hope the man PRESSES CHARGES.

(9,215 posts)1. The Marines arm was stuck in the door when the Nazi broke it, there needs to be payback!
By the way the Marines uncle said there is a GoFundMe for his nephew, just search by his name.

... as a direct result of Sheehy hoping to get a little face time and ink by barging into the fray, I would think it would be an open-and-shut case of felony assault. Were it not for the cops swarming him, I'll bet the Marine vet could have splattered Sheehy all over the landscape.
Given his already documented belligerent nature, I don't think anyone would have to dig too deeply to find more instances of unwarranted assault in Sheehy's sordid history. What an asshole.

Didnt Sheehy say he was shot in Afghanistan, turned out he shot himself in a park?

(41,160 posts)9. That story is told slightly differently in Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Sheehy
So maybe he was lying in 2012? Or maybe it was in 2015? Or in 2023? Quite possibly he was lying all three times.
In 2015, a park ranger cited Sheehy for discharging a firearm in Glacier National Park. Sheehy wrote in a statement, "while reloading our vehicle an improperly placed firearm kept in the vehicle for bear protection fell out and discharged into my right forearm."
But in his 2023 memoir, he wrote that a bullet had lodged in his arm during a 2012 Afghanistan firefight. Sheehy told The Washington Post that he "made up the story about the gun going off to protect himself and his former platoonmates from facing a potential military investigation into an old bullet wound that he said he got in Afghanistan in 2012."
He said he did not report the incident at the time to protect his unit's members because he suspected it was from friendly fire.
