Senator Chris Murphy was asked about the WSJ/Schumer leadership article on Meet the Press today

KRISTEN WELKER:

And to the point, leadership is of course leading the charge here. And there’s a lot of focus on Chuck Schumer right now. The Wall Street Journal reporting that there’s growing frustration with Chuck Schumer which spurs talk of replacing him. Senator, do you want to replace Leader Chuck Schumer?

SEN. CHRIS MURPHY:

Well, I think we are united right now as a caucus. There’s always a lot of focus on Senator Schumer and Leader Jeffries. Those are very hard jobs especially at a historic moment like this —

KRISTEN WELKER:

That’s not a “yes.”

SEN. CHRIS MURPHY:

Well, no, we — we are united as a caucus right now. Let me just be clear about that. We are united in ending this war. We are united in reining in the lawlessness of ICE. And we’re going to be united in winning the election this November. So right now we are together as a caucus.

KRISTEN WELKER:

So if you do win the election, would you vote to keep him as leader?

SEN. CHRIS MURPHY:

Well I — listen, I think he has a very tough job. And right now you are seeing the Democratic caucus united. That’s really important.

...I really like this man.

He's a damn good fighter, too. Really digs into an issue, and presents clear and concise opposition when he goes on these programs.

Fought for and won Lieberman's old seat. Stellar political career.

He's pragmatic like this to the point where people label him a moderate, despite his solid progressive chops.

Member of the so called, New Democrat Coalition which touted 110 members (including one nonvoting member) of which 30 where also members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and 6 were also members of Blue Dog Coalition, accounting for more than half of all Democratic representatives and making it the largest House Democratic ideological caucus, followed by the Congressional Progressive Caucus. wiki:

...and she predictably grabbed the bait and cast it out there.

It's for the rubes and the political neophytes, and they've seen it work dividing Democrats just recently.

Baiting Democrats is sport for that one and her ilk, it's what they put her there to do, along with defending republicans and sane-'splaining Trump.

the kind of Unified Positive Spirit I expect from Sen Chris Murphy.

He wants to Win.. and into Unity and Not into Divisiveness.
