IA-01: Miller-Meeks (R), Bohannan (D) set for House rematch in Iowa

GOP Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Democrat Christina Bohannan are projected to face off again in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District in November, according to Decision Desk HQ.

Miller-Meeks and Bohannan, a former member of the Iowa House, handily defeated their respective primary opponents, David Pautsch and Travis Terrell, on Tuesday.

November will mark the third straight election pitting Miller-Meeks and Bohannan against each other. The incumbent Republican, who won her first House race in 2020 over former Iowa state Sen. Rita Hart (D) by a mere six votes, defeated Bohannan by less than 7 percentage points in 2022.

Two years later, Miller-Meeks defeated Bohannan by less than two-tenths of a percentage point — outlasting the Democrat by under 1,000 votes. Their matchup was one of just three House races decided by less than a percentage point.
