Can this day get any better?

Well, there is one way I can think of...but anyway, it has been a pretty great day with one less Rethug in Congress and a nice soaking rain this evening. I'm having a glass of bubbly...maybe the Universe will take the hint? Cheers everyone!

3. Seldom drink. Hate the bubbly, but thinking the Screwball Whiskey I have might be appropriate for this day.

I've got some peanut butter whiskey, but my son in law, who is a bartender says it's pure trash. I hate whiskey, so to me, it's not as bad as most whiskeys.

I can't even remember the last time I had it! And ya know... now that I definitely can't afford it, you've given me a hankering for a little... (LOL)

A few years back, daughter was considering a career change and was studying mixology. We picked up many different liquors over a few years. Neither of us are actual drinkers, so, boy do we have an eclectic stash that I have to dust often. LOL.

Pretty sure we could find something around here to catch your interest. Got her ginger beer and Moscow Mule mugs for Christmas. I do have vodka on occasion and always keep some in the house. Takes me years to finish a bottle but I have to admit, a Mule is OK. Then again, I AM a ginger junky.

15. You don't have to have Dom Perignon to enjoy a great glass of bubbly!

I just buy some cheap sparkling wine at Sam’s—I like the flavor better anyway and it makes me feel just as festive! I add a slice of frozen orange in it when I take it outside on the patio. The orange looks very pretty keeps it cold a bit longer. Life is too short to not have a reason for a little bubbly once in a while!

8. I'm thinking that all the (r)epugs get raptured and leave the rational people to clean up the mess.

They've been promising "Rapture" ever since the beginning of time (BCE). Since their holy leaders can't get it together, maybe that can find some of Jim Jones's kool-aid.
