I told you they were going to take Social Security and Medicare

But many assured me that I was wrong and there’s no way they would ever try and do that. Sigh.

The Context of the Speaker's RemarksOn a June 2026 appearance on The Moon Griffon Show, Speaker Johnson addressed the ballooning national debt, which has surpassed ($40) trillion. In discussing the federal budget, he made the argument that funds allocated to senior citizens are not locked in by nature and could theoretically be directed elsewhere if the budget were changed. The exact commentary has sparked significant debate, with Democratic lawmakers and advocates warning that it signals GOP intentions to cut or overhaul foundational programs for seniors. For further context, Johnson emphasized that "desperate times call for desperate measures" when addressing the automatic, mandatory spending that takes up the vast majority of the federal budget.

Remember, all Social Security trustees now are Trump appointed, they do not tell the truth about how much money we have.

There are all kinds of election ads on the local tv and every republican candidate is running on balanced budgets..it’s time to stop run a way spending..yep.After the administrations spending spree, they now want to talk about too much spending while he is beautifying DC, and other projects they have not even questioned.

You are absolutely correct that desperate times call for desperate measures. Just how willing are you to tear the country apart even further? You go cutting SS while giving the madman in the WH free rein to loot the treasury will cause most Americans to be against the GOP! Desperate people with starving children will not care for your mealy mouthed excuses. !

And remember the trustees are appointed by Trump, they are lying. They are telling us we are out of money or will be soon, as I predicted that’s what they would say, he replaced all the trustees with people who will steal the money and lie about it.

The four ex-officio federal trustees: These positions are occupied by Trump administration officials. The two public trustees: These two seats, which are legally required to be filled by members of different political parties, are currently vacant.

They are lying to us. Please tell everybody you know.

His tax cuts, the Iran War, ballrooms, ICE Detention Centers, his State Fair, Reflecting Pool, changing the name of the Defense Dept

There’s a reason he had six bankruptcies and he alone has added $10 trillion to our debt over his two terms.

He’s responsible for 25% of our current debt and the GOP enabled him as they have the power of the purse.

I thought the trickle-down economy was doing great? Isn't that what the RW media propaganda machine has been telling the public?

If that's not the case, maybe we shouldn't be stealing from the workers, but rather throwing all those who brought us to this moment of desperate times out of office.

Elect clowns. Expect a chaotic circus.
