Former Gov. Robert Bentley made 32 trips on state aircraft in his final three months in office, including a trip to Washington, D.C. for the inauguration of President Donald Trump where he was accompanied by his alleged mistress Rebekah Caldwell Mason and her husband and the governor's personal guest, a real estate agent from Gulf Shores.
Flight records provided by Gov. Kay Ivey's office for January - March 2017 show Bentley and six others traveled to Washington for Trump's inauguration on Jan. 19 with a return flight on Jan. 21.
Joining the governor on board were his executive protection officer, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Zach Lee and Director of Legislative Affairs Wesley Helton, as well Jon Mason, director of the Governor's Office of Faith Based Initiatives and his wife, Rebekah Mason. Rebekah Mason was a former adviser to the Gov. Bentley and his alleged mistress.
According to the records, accompanying Bentley as his guest to the inauguration was Jane Brett. Brett is a real estate agent with Brett/Robinson Real Estate, specializing in properties in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores.
