President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday establishing a new voluntary deportation program that offers free flights to undocumented migrants who choose to leave the U.S. on their own.

The proclamation, titled “Establishing Project Homecoming,” was announced in a video message posted by the official White House X account.

In a 90-second address, Trump detailed what he described as “the first-ever self-deportation program for illegal aliens.”

“Any illegal alien can simply show up at an airport and receive a free flight out of our country,” Trump said. “We have also launched a phone app called CBP Home. That’s C-B-P-H-O-M-E, where illegals can book a free flight to any foreign country. As long as it’s not here, you can go anywhere you want.” Trump also described what he called an “important exit bonus” for illegals to “incentivize” their self-deportation.
