Murphy says he believes in 'correlation between' Trump's falling approval and 'authoritarian behavior'

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) said Wednesday he believes in a “correlation between” President Trump’s falling approval rating and “his increasing authoritarian behavior.”

“I do think there’s a correlation between the two things that you’re opening this hour talking about: his declining approval, the unpopularity of his policies and his increasing authoritarian behavior,” Murphy told MS NOW’s Nicolle Wallace on “Deadline: White House.”

“So, he is an unpopular leader. Nobody wants his policies. Folks don’t want to go to war with Venezuela. People don’t want to see millions of their neighbors lose their health care insurance,” he added. “Instead of correcting his policies, instead of saying, ‘OK, I’m going to do what people want,’ he’s decided to try to silence the truth.”

In a polling average from Decision Desk HQ, Trump has a 42 percent approval rating and a 54.9 percent disapproval rating. At the beginning of his second term, he had a 56 percent approval rating in the average, 14 points up from where he currently sits.

So many were fired in the first year! They were mostly replaced with bootlickers ....

The thing that tipped us off to Chump 2.0 was that horrid document called Project 2025. I wish more Americans had been paying attention, because we could have - should have - avoided this whole shitshow.

he's a cornered rabid beast, desperate to hang on to power that hardly anyone except himself wants him to have.

he's a sadistic, psychopathic, malignant narcissist. so there' that.

he's demented and failing physically.

it's a perfect storm for the country, and the world. it sucks.

The timidity of some of the politicians is depressing -- and Mr Murphy is one of the most "radical" opponents of DJT out there.
