Exclusive: Two officers fired their guns during Pretti encounter, Homeland Security says in initial report

Source: CNN

Two officers fired their guns during the fatal encounter with Alex Pretti in Minneapolis over the weekend, according to an initial report to Congress from the Department of Homeland Security reviewed by CNN.

The report – from Customs and Border Protection’s initial investigation into the shooting of Pretti – says an officer yelled, “He’s got a gun” multiple times before two officers fired as agents struggled with him on the ground.

“CBP personnel attempted to take Pretti into custody. Pretti resisted CBP personnel’s efforts and a struggle ensued,” the report says. “During the struggle, a (Border Patrol agent) yelled, ‘He’s got a gun!’ multiple times.”

The report continues: “Approximately five seconds later, a (Border Patrol agent) discharged his CBP-issued Glock 19 and a (Customs and Border Protection officer) also discharged his CBP-issued Glock 47 at Pretti.”

Where are they now?

I have subjected myself to viewing the clips and I never heard "multiple" statements of him having a gun.
They said it once and shot immediately.

Alex, was squashed down on the ground with 2 more big burly ices on top of him, restraining him. He was shot seconds after the verbal gun announcement.

the gun was in Mr. Pretti's waistband and an ICE goon removed it and set it aside. Mr. Pretti could not have held the gun because those goons were on top of him.

Of course, we can never be sure about anything contained in a "report ... from the Department of Homeland Security."

as might happen with two differently chambered firearms. The first 4 shots sounded like they were from a larger caliber compared with the last - say 10mm or .40 cal versus a 9mm.

I only saw the one shooter so figured what I think I heard must be due to an attitudinal difference between the muzzle, ground and/or microphone.
