The spokesperson said that agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force conducted a search of a residence in the 400 block of 30th Avenue East on Monday morning.

(1,438 posts)There's three pot stores within walking distance of my house. Plenty more elsewhere. Society here hasn't collapsed, indeed you'd hardly notice that pot was legal. Hardly a big deal.
Red AmeriKKKa sure is a shithole country. Seems it's because Jesus, or at least all of the assholes who pretend to speak for the nailed bastard demigod.

(1,438 posts)you may not be able to buy that much in a single visit, unless you were a good customer and could afford it - pot is expensive when taxed. Re-selling or re-distributing MIGHT be considered a problem it it were to happen, but the authorities have bigger worries with other stuff.

WTF.

(14,624 posts)There aren't many states where possession of a pound or more is legal. Minnesota is the only one that I know of for sure.
A pound of weed is a LOT, even for someone who smokes constantly.

(10,252 posts)Alabama's Aden Holloway is no longer with the team, as the university announced that the star guard has been "removed from campus" in the wake of his drug arrest Monday morning.
Holloway, the No. 2 scorer for the Crimson Tide, will be off the team until he goes through the school's investigation process, which is conducted outside of the athletic department through the UA Office of Student Conduct.
Alabama, which has won nine of its past 11 games and has the No. 3 offense in the country, is a 4-seed in the Midwest Region of the NCAA tournament and will play Hofstra in Friday's first round in Tampa, Florida.
Tuscaloosa County police spokesperson Stephanie Taylor said Holloway was arrested Monday morning after agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force searched a residence near Alabama's campus and "recovered more than a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia and cash."
