Trump's White House UFC Event to Honor America Botches U.S. Flag

President Donald Trump’s vision for an all-American UFC extravaganza is drawing attention for all the wrong reasons.

The president’s plan to host a night of cage matches on the South Lawn of the White House to celebrate his 80th and the nation’s 250th birthdays has taken an awkward turn. The American flag featured in the UFC mock-up for the event has a major glitch: It only has 48 stars to represent the nation’s 50 states.

The UFC posted a rendering on X of the big event, which is being held adjacent to Trump’s paved-over Rose Garden, featuring the faulty flag, a giant platform for the contest, and a crowd of seemingly excited spectators. An eagle-eyed observer on X spotted the goof-up.

The flag isn’t the only potential problem for the fight-off. UFC CEO and president Dana White toured the proposed event site last week and was stunned by the overwhelming number of gnats and other bugs. They’re bound to be annoying and could even present a danger to distracted performers, he fears.

I don't want to suggest that the fine folks staging the mixed martial arts fight on the White House lawn for the president's birthday are not sticklers for decorum and protocol but their American flag's got 48 stars on it

... I saw a video of a couple of younglings taking in a baseball game in Tokyo. The young Aussie host welcomed her American friend as being more knowledgeable about the game. 11. The insect problem is going to be out of control

No matter how much you fumigate the outside, you can't get rid of all gnats. Mosquitoes, flies, biting gnats and moths can also be a problem at sunset and into the evening. The lights are going to draw insects from throughout DC.

Good luck with them trying to get into people's eyes, nose and mouth, flying into any food and drinks that might be around. Imagine being a wrestler who can't smack at them. Even spray-on bug sprays frequently don't work on those tiny annoying insects.

And it's going to rain these next 2 days. Not a lot. Just enough to encourage more gnats.

The moron does not know several facts:

1. DC was built largely on a swamp. Swamps attract bugs.
2. This is the beginning of summer. By the time of this event the bugs are out in mass -- they are mating and laying eggs and they are EVERYGODDAMWHERE.
3. You may control the indoors with temp, humidity, and lighting. Outdoors a thing called NATURE is in control and all your money will not change that.
