Biden takes credit for ceasefire deal, brushes off Trump: 'Is that a joke?'
(ABC News) The ceasefire and hostage release deal announced Wednesday between Israel and Hamas marks a major political and personal victory for President Joe Biden in his final days in office.
"It's a very good afternoon," Biden said as he approached the podium in the Cross Hall of the White House to talk about the agreement, which comes after a devastating 15-month conflict that has subsumed the Middle East.
Biden was flanked by Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken as he laid out the work he and his administration's done to get to this point.
"The elements of this deal were what I laid out in detail this past May, which was embraced by countries around the world and endorsed overwhelmingly by the UN Security Council," Biden said.

(10,329 posts)I had to leave early for a VA appointment this AM.
Getting up at 6 AM I turned on the TV for noise as I started to get dressed. As I do many nights I turn the TV off before bed after watching Lawrence. And before I could get to the remote to change, Mika the Meat Puppet started right into his Joe lied that it was his work and that Trump was extremely intricate in the deal.
I sure hope these new MSNBC leaders send those clowns in over to Fux.
But as I watch Nicole and Rachel, the commercial breaks do a Joe is great, number one, watch him is a must rant. Fuck that. Those two will be right beside Elooon at the inauguration grinning from ear to ear kissing the ass.
