I've been stressing out about an abundance of things lately. Mostly, the new warm white lights on a green wire took forever to get here, or so it seemed. I present my 2024 Victorian themed Christmas tree.
A few years ago, I got to tour a house that had been a stop for the Underground Railroad. I received this awesome dragonfly ornament from the host.
One of my owl ornaments.

(19,578 posts)And wow visiting an Underground Railroad House!
The History tingles!
And while different, but not completely: reminds me of when I went to The Museum of American History in DC [I love going to the museums there!] to see one of the ?Woolworth Lunch Counters from during the Civil Rights boycotts.
Oh, I could feel History wafting around me!
Enjoy your Christmas!🎄

(10,038 posts)My visiting this home was a DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) rendezvous.
The host was kind enough to share photos and the history of the house remodeling process. They had discovered doors with handles between the 2nd floor and the ceiling on the 1st floor. They found a dugout with removable floor in a pantry.
I love museums, especially living history style museums.
Thank you. Enjoy your Christmas as well! 🎄

Niagara, of course!
Looks amazing!
Is that red bell the "topper?" What can you tell us about that decoration? Looks like there might be a second red bell. Co-toppers perhaps?

(10,038 posts)Nothing terribly exciting to share about the red bell topper.
My current tree topper is more "Country" than "Victorian" style.
I was at the Dollar Tree purchasing artificial poinsettia's to place into the tree as fillers. I found a bell decoration while at the Dollar Tree that was light enough to use as a topper. At the time I only purchased one and I went back to purchase another bell since the top of the tree was a looking a little empty.
Thank you!
